Merger of two Societies
MEPSA was created from two long-existing scholarly bodies, the Australasian Society for Experimental Pathology (ASEP) and the Australian and New Zealand Environmental Mutagen Society (ANZEMS), following a successful Joint Scientific Meeting by the two societies held at Mt. Buller, Victoria, in 1997. The Society formally came into existence in 1999 as the Mutagenesis and Experimental Pathology Society of Australasia, and changed its name to the Molecular and Experimental Pathology Society of Australasia at a special General Meeting in 2009.

Life Members
